LOL Surprise Boys Series! (and everything you need to know about LOL Surprise)

Let’s here it for the boys!

MGA Entertainment has definitely won the hearts of boys and girls with the all new Boys Series of LOL Surprise Dolls. It was a small step to the brotherhood with their teasers of limited release and rare finds of the boys in previous series, so I wasn’t too surprised to see them getting their very own series. Girls, boys and collectors were begging for more boys and they listened to their audience. The boys are super hip-super cool and the perfect addition for your collection or your little ones toy box.

L.O.L. Surprise! Boys Series Doll with 7 Surprises

Like all other LOL Surprise Series, they come in waves, with two waves per series. I’m expecting nothing less with the boys series, although the checklist doesn’t hint at future releases yet?! Let’s hope they bring out a wave 2!

These have been on the market for a few weeks and in my area sell out almost before they hit the shelves, as did previous series of the LOL Surprise Dolls.

LOL Surprise Dolls come in layers of fun. (when I first discovered these I thought the LOL meant Lots of Layers. HAHAHA)

  • Every doll will include an outfit, bottle, clue and accessory (like pacifier, earrings, headband…
  • Every doll has an ability (color changer, spit, tinkle or cry)
  • Every series is slightly different

New series may include a new version of an older style doll (ex: You may find Bon Bon in several series but she will look different).

Why I LOVE LOL Surprise!

LOL Surprise is genius! What child wouldn’t want layer upon layer of fun and excitement? That is exactly what LOL Surprise delivers. Cute little dolls that are the absolute perfect size for practically every playset and dollhouse in existence. They range from adorable to sassy and everything in between.

What I don’t like about LOL Surprise

Some of the dolls seem too risque for young children and there is so much waste with the packaging. However, LOL Surprise has teamed up with Terracycle, you can find recycling information here.

Overall, LOL Surprise toys are exceptionally well made and have won Toy of the Year Award. Love them or hate them, they are here for awhile, as kids and collectors are still combing the store shelves daily.

Don’t worry, you can select other color options through my link. This is available 9/20/19 but this will definitely be harder to find the closer we get to the holidays. 

Before we get into it, why didn’t Nintendo call this the Lite Switch?

Ok. all joking aside; what is different about the Switch Lite vs the regular Switch? Probably most important to note is  the Switch Lite cannot be connected to your TV. This is a handheld system only. Also another feature that may be important to some gamers is the joycons are affixed permanently to the game system. What does that mean for game play? There are a few titles that will not be compatible with affixed joycons, but you can play almost all of the Switch titles with the Switch Lite, as very few require you to remove the joycons. (going forward, Nintendo will indicate which titles are handheld compatible on product packaging). The Switch Lite is also much more portable with a very streamlined and thin design, it makes it super easy and convenient to take with you everywhere! The price of the Switch Lite is also $100 less than the Switch. 

So how do you know which Switch to buy?

It’s really going to depend on your gaming style. If you want a system that can be docked and played as a console, than the Switch is your best buy. If you are like me, and prefer gaming on the go, than the Switch Lite is perfect for you! 

Important! The regular Switch will be getting a battery upgrade!

As of writing this article, I have not found a release date for the extended battery Switch. However, you may find some retailers are offering lower MSRP on the Switch, as they may be working to reduce inventory, so if a super long battery life isn’t important to you, be on the lookout for dropping prices on the Switch. The new Switch will boast up to twice as long battery life as the current version.

I can honestly say this is super tempting. One of the biggest complaints I have with the Switch is the battery life. It’s not terrible, I get about 3 hours of game play before needing to be charged but the new Switch boasts up 9 hours! I wish I hadn’t already bought my Switch because both of these are super appealing, especially the Switch Lite. (also boasts a battery life of up to 7 hours!)

From the world of Shopkins comes the all new Kindi Kids! Kindi Kids are pint-sized cuties and they are all ready for Kindergarten! Kindi Kids are available here: Kindi Kids Snack Time Friends, Pre-School 10 inch Doll – Donatina

There are four different Kindi Kids to choose from, each a Kindergarten-version of their regular Shopkins dolls. Choose from Jesse Cakes, Peppa-Mint, Donatina or Marsha Mello. In addtion to Kindi Kids dolls, they have a few accessories as well!

The dolls are much taller and bigger than your regular Shopkins and are more of a baby doll size. They are the perfect size for little hands! Moose Toys was kind enough to send me a large package to open and review and you can watch that full video by clicking HERE

What I LOVE about these dolls!

  • They are super soft!
  • They can stand all on their own
  • They have bobble heads which make them appear life-like
  • Their clothing is removable
  • Their size is perfect for hugging
  • They are just plain adorable

What I think needs improving:

  • Clothing options so kids can really make use of the removable clothing (but I’ll bet this is in the works!)
  • More doll style varieties other than the original 4. Will there be a wave 2?
  • More accessories (but again, I’m guessing this is in the works)

I really think Moose Toys hit it out of the ballpark (again) with these adorable dolls. I’m guessing these will be a must-have this holiday season and Marsha Mello is already on backorder as of this writing. Let me know what you think of the world of Kindi Kids, ‘yay, let’s play!’

Introduction: Who is Oopsy Doopsy Girl Toy Videos?

Hello, and welcome to my blog!

I’m a toy video creator on YouTube. I’ve been creating videos for kids for about a year. It’s been quite the journey learning how to not only create fun content for children but all the crazy things you don’t think about–learning those along the way, like audio and lighting–who knew!

Why and how did I start doing this?

  • Why? Because one day I was watching a child watch YouTube videos and saw how entertained they were by something that seemed kind of silly and then something happened…their fun video seemed to go right into adult content–not at all appropriate for a child. I felt I needed to give something to YouTube’s smallest viewers; safe, friendly, happy content!
  • How? I literally just decided one day to do it and so I bought my first few toys and a tripod for my phone. Little did I know! haha

I decided to start this blog as a way to promote my channel. YouTube makes it extremely hard for small creators to gain any traction and so I thought maybe I could blog about the cool toys I find. The holidays are approaching and I know I have vital info that parents may want to see and/or read about. On my blog a parent can read about my reviews, ask questions and their child can watch the video and be entertained. It’s a win-win!

Some of the content my YouTube channel covers is toy unboxing and toy reviews, creative play, videos with a message (like sharing and kindness) and a few crafts. I will soon be starting a new category of videos called “rough and tumble” that may appeal to boys or tomboys.

Some of my favorite toys to work with/play with in my videos are LOL Surprise Dolls, Calico Critters, American Girl Doll, Barbie Doll, Shopkins, Ponies, Slime and dolls. I upload videos twice a week!

Toys are constantly changing and evolving and I try very hard to stay on top of current trends. I have worked with Moose Toys (known for Shopkins, Pikmi Pops, the new Goo Goo Galaxy, Kindi Kids etc… ) and look forward to working with other toy companies in the future. Please check out my channel !
